The Dan Johnson Latin Jazz Quartet is a band comprising of Leeds College of Music Alumni, Dan Johnson (Sax), Lee Walker (Piano), Sam Jackson (Bass) and Matt Parkinson (Drums). Daniel starting working on compositions for the band in June of 2013 and the band began rehearsals in late July in preparation for their debut performance for Arts@Trinty in Leeds Trinity Holy Church. The performance received a great response.
The Dan Johnson Latin Jazz Quartet is a high-energy mix of rhythms from around the world with jazz harmony and improvisation, creating an exciting and energetic performance. Performing a mixture of original material, Latin jazz standards and modern contemporary Latin jazz by artists such as Negroni’s Trio and Chick Corea.
